Lauren is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Family Law Mediator. Lauren has been licensed to practice law in the State of Florida since 2013. Lauren is a graduate of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Associate Institute; attends the Florida Bar Certification Review course regularly; and has substantial education, training and work experience in Florida marital and family law as well as general civil litigation. Lauren joined Sessums Law Group in 2013. Prior to joining Sessums Law Group, Lauren worked in the University of Florida Virgil Hawkins Civil Clinics, practicing juvenile and family law under the supervision of the members of the Florida Bar. Lauren graduated in the top 6% of her law school class at the University of Florida, and achieved membership in the University of Florida Order of the Coif. Lauren has always had a passion for helping people work together to achieve a common goal. Lauren understands that alternative dispute resolution can help reduce the stress, time, and cost involved in family law matters. Lauren strives to help family law clients identify issues to be resolved; discuss possible solutions; and ultimately come to an agreement that benefits all involved. Lauren strives to provide a comfortable, confidential, and professional mediation experience, resulting in a negotiated settlement resolution. Lauren also provides litigation support to the rest of the Sessums Law Group team.
